HI! We are a family of 5 with 3 daughters aged 9 to 13. For our holiday in Umbria we were looking for a central location to be able to easily reach all the main places of interest by car, Assisi, Spello, Trevi, Marmore Falls, Todi... The choice fell by chance on this cottage above Spoleto, not too far far from the city but at the same time immersed in the quiet and silence of the Umbrian hills. Our experience, after 4 days of stay, is decidedly positive. The house is comfortable and intimate, equipped with everything you need. The spacious rooms each have their own private bathroom with bidet and shower. In the evening it was a pleasure to return to that welcoming kitchen, like a country house of the past, where everything seems to slow down and you can breathe the air of home. Luca, the owner was not only very welcoming but also friendly, a pleasure to have met him. On the first evening we found a homemade donut as a welcome, fresh bread with Umbrian oil and a bottle of prosecco. Small gestures that make you feel welcomed. Another highlight was the cave, reached by a somewhat steep internal staircase. For the girls it was a joy to be able to explore it, like an adventure within the holiday. What to say? For us they were beautiful days, Umbria is a splendid region, and this cottage is the ideal reference point for visiting it.We are very grateful for these happy days, Lorenza and Danilo, with Giorgia, Giulia and Sofia

As you wind up the hill the tranquility envelops you, then stepping through the stone arches of the ancient Borgo onto daisy sprinkled grass, every vision you imagined of Italy comes rushing in.With a very warm welcome from Luca, we stepped into the inviting, comfortable and cosy casa and felt instantly at home. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable visit. Beds have feather quilts and soft pillows, with large fluffy towels.Exposed beams, hand decorated doors, an open fire and shuttered windows opening to the beautiful morning birdsong. We took it slowly, woke late and visited an ancient historical village every day between .5-1hr drive, such as Assisi, Trevi, Spello, Rasiglia, Norcia and Spoleto each one individually beautiful as was the drive through the countryside. Or visited the local town bakery for coffee and custard croissants at breakfast.Returning in the afternoon we chose delicious wine from the cellar with cheese on the grass outside the casa. Followed by available home cooked meals. Making your visit effortless, restful and relaxing is Lucas main objective. We booked for a week and stayed for two, and even then we were sad to leave.

This home is remarkable. There are so many extras in this place that are not often available for travelers in Italy. Trust the pictures and the description. We were greeted with chilled prosecco, fresh bread, homemade cake, and other snacks. There was an espresso machine that worked, milk, orange juice, and olive oil, just to name a few things. The entire home was spotless and nicely decorated with great linens and towels. Best of all, the star of this place was Luca, the host. He was super attentive, always available, assisting us in every way. We enjoyed the pleasure of him cooking for us from his family recipes, and dining together. I feel like a made a life long friend! He is genuine and open, sharing stories of family and travels. I was hopeful about experiencing "life of Italians", and Luca exceeded my expectations! I wish we had stayed longer, and certainly will if I have the opportunity in the future.
3 MILLION STARS FOR LUCA AND HIS HOME!!!

The stay in this beautiful structure was extremely pleasant. The host welcomed us with a lot of attention and we were pleasantly surprised by the kindly offered welcome aperitif that we hardly found in other places. Everything is well cared for in detail and we found everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing night. The place is strategic for visiting the incredible beauty of the area. The sunset, the quiet, the green are memories that we will take with us. We highly recommend staying in this cottage because you feel at home but pampered as you should be when you are on vacation

Staying at La Casa di LucaPietro was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, Luca made us feel right at home. The location of La Casa couldn't have been better. Situated close to so many breathtaking destinations such as Trevi, Assisi, Foligno, Spoleto, and Orvieto, we were spoiled for choice when it came to exploring the beauty of Umbria. It was the perfect base for our adventures. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the incredible home-cooked meals that Luca kindly arranged for us. Each dish was flavourful and made with love, we felt like we really had a taste of authentic Italian cuisine. As for the accommodation itself, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was cozy, well-equipped, and felt like a true home away from home. We appreciated the attention to detail and the thoughtfulness that Luca put into ensuring his guests have a wonderful experience. Overall, our stay at La Casa exceeded all expectations. We can't thank Luca enough!
