Discover La Casa di LucaPietro, nestled among the picturesque hills of Silvignano, in the heart of Umbria. Embracing its rich heritage, our quaint cottage is a cherished part of a collection of historic residences, each telling a story of centuries past.

Perched at an elevation of around 600 meters, our cottage offers not just accommodation, but an experience steeped in tradition and warmth. With a charming garden area and breathtaking views of the Umbrian valley, it provides a serene retreat from the chaos of modern life.

Luca Cappelletti

Owner & Director

After 25 years in the world of fashion and hairstyling, I embarked on an extraordinary adventure in Adelaide, Australia, back in 2010. I left behind a significant hairdressing salon in Tuscany and collaborations with the most prestigious beauty brands internationally.

Throughout my career in Italy, I had the honour of traveling and presenting hairstyling shows both in Italy and Europe, participating in numerous events, courses, and seminars, accumulating unforgettable experiences.

The decision to embrace Australia was driven by the desire to follow Claudia, now my wife and the mother of our precious jewels, Liam and Ayla. Claudia has contributed to research at the University of Adelaide with excellent results, leading one of the world's most important microbiology laboratories and publishing numerous articles. Meanwhile, I contributed to the success of one of Adelaide's most renowned hair salons, working both in the salon and at our academy, organising many hair shows, including a memorable event in Shanghai, China, in front of an audience of approximately 5000 people. What an incredible emotion!

After an exceptional 13-year experience abroad, in 2023, we made the tough decision to return to Italy, leaving behind wonderful friends, jobs and of course, our beautiful home, the city of Adelaide. The motivation was based on a desire to be closer to our families, allowing our children to grow up in the company of Nonni, Zii (aunts & uncles), and cousins, in short, with our family.

Now that we are settled back in Italy, Liam is excited to chase his real passion, playing Football (the REAL Football), and to follow and play for his favourite team - ‘Empoli’! Meanwhile little Ayla will begin dance school with her cousins - she is so excited!

I was born in Vinci, the hometown of the great genius Leonardo Di Vinci, while Claudia hails from Spoleto, a wonderful medieval town in Umbria. It is precisely there, in Umbria, that I decided to realise my dream. Currently, Claudia continues to shine as a researcher at the University of Bologna, while I have finally materialised my "dream." I have opened La Casa di LucaPietro, a historic residence in Umbria, near Spoleto, where I have the opportunity to meet new friends from around the world. Here, I can assist my guests by recommending places to visit, restaurants to eat, and enjoying good wine. As I immerse myself in the kitchen, preparing typical dishes from Umbria and Tuscany for you and your loved ones, we can perhaps even share a drink together. I am always available for any questions and advice, with the aim of making your stay a unique and unforgettable experience.

This new chapter in my life allows me to enjoy family closeness and share the beauty of our land, Italy. I am thrilled to welcome all my new and old friends and offer them a stay, and unique and special experience at "La Casa di LucaPietro Dimora Storica."

Salute,

Luca
